Gruia Badescu
Gruia Badescu is an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Konstanz. He holds a PhD from the Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge and, before Konstanz, he was a Departmental Lecturer and a Research Associate at the University of Oxford. He has researched the relationship between reconfigurations of urban space and memory processes in Southeastern Europe, also in dialogue with other regions, specifically South America and the Middle East. His publications have examined urban memory and heritage in post-war and post-authoritarian contexts. He is currently completing a book on post-war reconstruction and dealing with the past.
