Coordination & Management

The DFG Research Training Group 2227 is an association of the following academic partners: Bauhaus University Weimar, Technical University Berlin, University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences Dessau. During the first period, the spokesperson’s seat was at the Technical University Berlin (spokesperson: Prof. Dr. Gabi Dolff-Bonekämper, coordinator: Simone Bogner) and moved to the Bauhaus University Weimar (spokesperson: Prof. Dr. Hans-Rudolf Meier, coordinator: Dr. Wolfram Höhne) at the start of the second period on 1 April 2021.

Dr. Wolfram Höhne (Scientific coordinator) studied fine arts at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Freelance work as an artist and filmmaker. Research and artistic assistant at the University of Erfurt, the Bauhaus University Weimar and the Kunsthochschule Kassel. Doctorate in architectural history and architectural sociology. She studied sociology at Istanbul University and completed her masters in the same field at Istanbul Bilgi University. She is continuing her studies at the Free University Berlin in the Sociology- European Societies program. Since 2024, she has been working as a student assistant at the TU Berlin, Urban Conservation and Cultural Heritage.

Scarlett Wilks (Technische Universität Berlin)

Scarlett Wilks studied Art History at Technische Universität Berlin and Heritage Conservation at University of Bamberg. She then worked as a research assistant in the project “Architectural and Planning Collectives of the GDR. Institutional Structures and Creative Processes in the Socialist Production of Architecture”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). She is currently a research associate at the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning, Chair of Urban Conservation and Urban Cultural Heritage.
